After some insight, what is going on as far as Maul and Glitch is psychological trauma on Maul's behalf.
Yes and no. Yes, he did consciously attack Glitch but because Maul can't separate the two. As far as how the trauma is manifested.
I'm not liking that Glitch lost his arm. But it would be better to give Maul kindness and understanding in this situation. He can't trust a lot of others.
And in the long term, maybe Maul will be able to overcome his trauma and have fewer out-busts.

[A hard press face. He doesn't want anyone to die either.]
Locking him up or murdering Maul won't solve anything. Someone or someones needs to be responsible for him.

[ Ford has been busy since Ozpin finally returned home. Between taking care of Stan, attempting to reinforce the house's defenses, and mulling over the eggs he doesn't have much time, energy, or thoughts to spare for anything else.
Of what he does have to spare, much of it drifts towards the subject of Remnant, colors, and the significance of certain gifts as they relate to both subjects. He takes to tinkering at his workbench in his spare time, rummaging through his stock of reagents that he's procured throughout town and requested from Sodder until he finds what he needs. It takes a lot of trial and error and quite a bit of sleep lost to monofocus, but eventually he has something he's satisfied with.
Convincing himself to contact Ozpin is almost as hard as the project itself, but it comes easier than expected all the same. ]
I've been thinking about what you told me about the significance of color on Remnant. I know it may be some time before we can meet in person again, but once we can I have something I'd like to give you.

I will be.

I've sent Winter a message.
[ Which is his way of reassuring Ozpin he's getting help in a stubborn "but not from you" way. Ozpin keeps saving him in Deerington, and for a little while James dealt with that by assuming it meant something.
He knows it doesn't, now. His pride is reluctant to have Ozpin come to his rescue yet again. ]
Good news and bad news. One threat is better than two.

Some days, Professor, I almost feel bad for you.
That girl does mean well, but she can be a lot to handle.

Well, I'll admit that frantically scrambling to try and keep her from being silly is a distraction.
This waiting game is enough to drive any of us insane, after all.
I don't pop by that often, but how's the mood over at the house?
I'm going to assume it's tense enough for her to do something silly like that.

[Nuuuuuup. She didn't give two shits about his sex life. She was, in fact, mostly concerned about the general mood over among the others, given that she kept her distance most days. Admittedly...
The fact that Neo cared about any of this at all was a bit of a testimony to how the last year had altered some things.]
That's about what I thought.
Ruby's kind of giving off the "Going Stir Crazy" vibe right now.
We're doing alright over here for the most part, though we're keeping a real low profile.
I only have so many ice and fire crystals left, and they attract bigger problems to use.
I think part of her would like both of us to come over and stay.
I just don't feel right, shacking up under the same roof.
Especially when I know I wasn't done screwing up.

Kind of concerned about this Doctor Fawzpin person. If "he" needs to come over and learn Pai Sho after all, door's open.
Seriously, though. Are you alright? It wasn't exactly hard to figure out that was about you.

[ Ah, deflection. A technique Mako recognizes only through extensive practice of doing it himself, all the time, constantly. If Ozpin doesn't want to talk about it, Mako definitely won't make him. ]
And obviously you're giving her something to worry about. Not going to pry. It's your business but like I said. If you need some space and you're getting restless, door's open. My friend Asami just got here a week or so ago. She's great at Pai Sho.
