I only have so many ice and fire crystals left, and they attract bigger problems to use. I think part of her would like both of us to come over and stay.
I just don't feel right, shacking up under the same roof. Especially when I know I wasn't done screwing up.
Jaune and I talked. We didn't get into specifics. I'm aware I was working with Salem at least for a while. Vengeance will make you do very stupid things, and we'll leave it at that if that's ok.
I know that you guys wouldn't leave us high and dry. I just am not as comfortable trying to pretend that I haven't tried to stab most of you to death at some point. Ruby thinks of it as a work in progress, and it is. It's just a much longer work than I think it is with Emerald.
She needed you guys more than she realized when she got here.

[Admittedly, unlike Hazel, nobody had really ever gotten her to sign any dotted lines and Salem had promptly ignored her existence. But she wasn't wrong. It was a powerful motivator to doing really dumb things and not caring about the consequences.]
I'm pretty glad myself too. Emerald and I barely had time together back home to know each other. And I doubt very much that I would ever have enough time to actually talk with Red.
