[Ruby definitely hadn't noticed the flip back and forth between Shannon and Kanon, she had been a little preoccupied at the time. She had noticed the strange sarcasm that had bubbled out of her but that could just as easily have been the illusion messing with them.
She just hoped the boy in the first room had gotten away. Assuming he wasn't part of the illusion along with everything else.

Uhm- You know. I don't think so. Or at least not that I've really noticed. I think she's been eating a lot better ever since we moved in with everyone here.
Neither of us are all that uh- good in the kitchen. We tried to bake a cake for some friends that helped us before and that ended up being a little dire.
Now that sounds like something I can help with! I'm no Gohda-san, but I can at least cook without making a disaster zone in the kitchen, hehe.

Ah, what does everyone here do for groceries now that I'm thinking about it? It was... somewhat of an ordeal fetching ingredients from Niijima every week or so. At least now that I live in the big city, I won't have to take a boat ride every time we need eggs.
...then again, all the monsters might be a different kind of inconvenient...
Perfect! Don't feel like you have to compare yourself to someone who we've never met here- We're happy to have you around. Anything that saves us a couple kitchen fires is more than welcome. Not that I have a problem with them but I think it would help a few people from getting heart problems.

There's a marketplace not too far off where I normally grab things. We probably should have more coordinated grocery trips but it's a little chaotic here. Mostly because Oscar does a lot of the cooking for us at the moment.
I'm happy to come along though if you need an extra set of hands or someone to fight off monsters-
I'd be happy to take some of the responsibility off of Oscar-san's hands. He seems a little young to be handling meal preparation for all of you, after all.
