[Referencing the incident in the snow is a surefire way to get Qrow's heartrate spiking ngl, he soundly considers that one of the worst times of his life and does not like thinking about it.]
yeah of course he got kinda squirrelly about ruby holding the lamp but what's that got to do with ford?
It takes Qrow a moment to call to mind what Oscar means specifically--as with many memories that hold some level of trauma to them, the surrounding moments can be somewhat muddy. But the image of the scene resolves itself in his mind, then, and he remembers--he's trying to stop me.]
...so he woke up in ford's head, after he died the second time and fought him for control
[Huh. He can't quite decide what he thinks of that. He's missing details, he's sure. He switches on the function to make the message private only to Oscar.]
[Oscar typed quickly, hoping to get the info out as clearly and concisely as possible without being confusing.]
I don't know the full details, but Dipper told me that it was a life threatening situation. Ozpin apparently tried asking Ford if he could take over so they wouldn't die, but Ford refused.
So. Oz did it by force.
It saved both of their lives, but Ford had that kind of thing happen with him and that monster, Bill Cipher.
I don't think Ford will ever fully forgive Ozpin, even if they look like they're getting along now.
[He thinks he can see both sides of it, in all honesty. Reasonable fear and reasonable anger. He does not know that Oz knew of Ford's trauma surrounding this particular issue, or that he'd hidden his capacity to override Ford's free will having known this. He'd be significantly more annoyed with Ozpin if he did, but with these details alone ... he mostly just feels bad for both of them.
There is one question that nags at him, though.]
did he ever apologize?
[He remembers, back when they'd first reunited, all he'd really wanted was an apology for all the secrecy and lies. It makes a part of him wonder if the last plank between those two and a mended bridge might be as simple as the lack of that much.]
You know Ozpin and apologies. He probably tried to tell a story before he got anywhere.
[Unseen but probably felt by Qrow elsewhere in the house was a shrug that indicated the helpless uncertainty they all harbored on matters that related to Ozpin. They could stand beside him and support him, but ultimately the astute and charming teacher would default to what was familiar:
Stories.]
I'm honestly not sure, but I don't think that this is something an apology can fix either. They both have to work through this, but they've got to be willing to first.
maybe an apology by itself's not enough, but it'd be a good start, at least
[Like when Oz had promised not to run away again, and to tell him if he learned of new developments in the war. Qrow had needed time even after that, time to make sure he meant it, to rebuild that sense of trust, but you can't rebuild a bridge if you never set down the first plank.]

[Oscar typed quickly-- leaving out the fact that Qrow has an astoundingly hard punch.]
That's what he did to Ford. He had good reason-- but Ford has had PROBLEMS with that kinda thing and took it REALLY bad.

sloppy make outssharing blood without any buffer.[Sorry, Qrow. Your nephew is just being Real here-- he knew Ozpin's flaws as well as anyone, and could see this as a very viable possibility.]
