You know he's in it for more the challenge and the personality dynamics, right? Seeking counsel really is the most likely reason he's out there.
He's not really the seeking counsel type either though. But even if that's the case, isn't that kind of a reason to be more worried? That he's not really acting like himself? He's been kinda off all month - like, more than most people.

[Oscar commented, thoughtfully. He had noticed the same-- but any shred of privacy they had between them was a blessing, so he didn't press on the matter.]
There has been times when he did ask for help in Remnant. It wasn't often... but there is an all knowing spirit who answers a handful of questions every hundred years, and Oz was the only one who had access to her for a long time.
[Oz did ask her questions as well-- but had found her answers to be far from what he was seeking. Perhaps, in a world where they were free from the constraints of the gods, he was feeling a little more comfortable with seeking help.]
Yeah, that's kind of why I followed him in the first place. If Ozpin's in over his head with something, then that's could end up bringing a lot of bad for everyone eventually.
[Willow raises her eyebrows.]
Okay, so he's asked an all knowing spirit some questions - that's not really the same thing as asking for help. I don't know. Something's not right - we should still keep an eye.
