I guess he's kind of like a ghost? Except I'm the only one who can hear him. I'm just going to stay inside today, so, you know, no one thinks I'm hearing voices or anything.
I mean. I guess I kind of am, but hearing voices that aren't actually there?
...You know, I was actually followed around in my subconscious by a vengeance demon for most of my childhood so I think I get what that's like. Even if I thought the voices weren't real.
It'll be okay. As far as having people in my head goes, there are way worse alternatives out there than Ozpin. At least it's someone I know, and am friends with.
I didn't know about the vengeance demon. You didn't, you know, make a wish or anything, did you?
Sort of complicated. The part that was my friend didn't want to leave, and so started protecting me from the 'Malice' part. It was a whole ordeal. They're both gone now. For a whole stretch of it I was blacked out from sheer rage.
But. Hang on. I'm sorry, Xander Harris left the super hot vengeance demon at the altar??? Is he insane???
There were circumstances. Some guy Anya took vengeance on came back for a little revenge of his own, and got Xander too twisted up in his own head to go through with it. Then I guess he realized he wasn't actually ready to get married anyway. It's been a really bad time for both of them.
Well. Guess that makes sense. Marriage sort of always felt like a scam to me anyway.
[Her trauma isn't entirely different from Xander's but it sure isn't the same either. She tries not to think about him too much, it's... certainly in the running with Riley, the Summers Family and Wesley for the worst things she's ever done.]
Though I guess it's on the table here for us. Isn't really back home.
By us I mean uhhhh. Lesbians. I guess. Is what we are.
Yeah, I don't think I'd ever want like a traditional Trench marriage with the blood pact and everything. There's too much that can go wrong with a permanent telepathic connection between people like that.

[Just a fun Faith fact.]

I wished for a friend.
So.

Well... You have all kinds of friends now. How did it go at the time, though?

Still. She does, kind of. It's weird. She doesn't feel like a good friend.]
She started following me around in dreams and shit. She was like, an imaginary friend for a while, except not really imaginary.
Her name was uh. Malice. So.

I called her Alex, though. Kind of sounds like Malice.

So what happened with her? I mean, obviously you figured out what was going on.

It's probably off the table here, too. The whole thing with Tara and all.
