I've already talked to him, Willow. He says he's got it under control...

Diggs played some kinda trick on me. I didn't want to post this, and I'm hoping it doesn't become a Thing.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure we both know when someone says they've got something under control, and you can smell still smoke, it's a pretty good sign the kitchen's on fire again.

That's weird about Diggs, though. It doesn't seem like him?

Diggs doesn't normally do this-- there's gotta be something else going on.

Which is why I'm worried about Ozpin and Ford. We both know that there's usually something else going on when Ozpin is trying too hard to play it cool like that.

Did you mean to send this as a message to someone else or something?

Yeah, it worries me too. I don't think either one of them will listen to us, though.

They've gotta to their own thing on this, I guess.

It just gives me a headache. I never liked soap operas.

Yeah. And maybe it's not a bad thing they're talking again? Even if it's a little weird.

Soap operas were never my thing either. Hey, do you want to come to the Archives with me? Get out, clear your head a little? It might help Diggs too.

Don't get me wrong. I AM glad they're talking again. I just wish Ozpin didn't feel like he needed to make it weird. It's not!

Well, the Vampire thing is a little, but it's not really his fault either.

Could we get out, though? A distraction might be nice, and Diggs would love to get out and play.

I don't know. I think it's going to be weird even if neither of them tried to make it that way. Sometimes weirdness just comes from being around your ex again.

I don't see any reason why we can't go. I want to start looking into this whole "No memory of Trench" problem anyway.

...Is that the price you're paying for what happened, do you think?

It's really worrying. I'll help you look into that problem if you give me clues. I used to help out in the library in Deerington, so this one shouldn't be that different.

[personal profile] frogfear 2022-03-23 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
That's the going theory, yeah. I'm not sure if it's a carryover from Deerington, or just how things work here, or if there's something else at play, or what. It definitely makes things way harder, though.

I definitely won't say no to an extra set of eyes to help with researching it. I'm not sure it's a good idea to just wait and see if it resolves on its own.

Probably not.

Just let me know when you're going and I'll be there to help. You're an important part of this house, Willow. You don't have to do this alone.

Thanks Oscar. That means a lot. I've missed you guys the last few days. It's good to be back home.
