I hope you don't think I did this easily or lightly, Oscar.
I've dealt with vampires before. They were pretty common in my world. I've lost friends and former classmates to them, and I've come really close to being bit too. And worse.
You two share a soul, but he kept you in the dark too. Did you know he bit Ford?
[ He's aware of the implications of what he just said, so he lets that hang for a moment before continuing. ]
I didn't, honestly. But, we relish the little privacy that this world has granted us, because Remnant will never allow us that kind of thing.
But, you can't just immediately make a judgement because he's showing vampire traits. What if the vampires are different?
Will you try to bind him indefinitely?
[...Yes, someone just found out about Maul. Oscar blames himself for being late on the uptake and, while he understand the reasons, he found he didn't agree with it.
He's seen how quickly power corrupts.
The last thing they needed was Willow becoming a little like Ironwood.]
[Things Willow did not care to know about her good friend Standford Pines. Thanks, Oscar. She's going to pretend she didn't see that.]
He's feeding on Sleepers and staring at some of our housemates to the point where he's making them nervous. That's not going to lead anywhere good unless we figure this thing out.
I'm still looking into it, but there's similarities between vampires at home and what's happening to Ozpin here in Trench. The spell I cast only stops him from coming back in the house until he's invited back in - it's no different than locking a door behind someone when they leave and not giving them a key. And it's just temporary, until we can find an actual solution.
It's okay, Oscar. I understand. It's probably not a bad thing for you to be with Ozpin through this. Just be careful, okay? And if you get into trouble, let us know?
I promise I'm going to do everything I can to get things back to normal as quick as possible. I don't want to weigh you down with all the details, but trust me, this isn't exactly my first time dealing with something like this.
If I get into trouble, it won't be because of him. If anything, he'll be one of the first people there.
He always is.
[Unseen, but probably evident elsewhere in the house, was the exhausted sigh of frustration that the boy let out as he recalled all of his recent traumas and trials...]
Ozpin has already done the worst that he is capable of doing to me back in Remnant. He has no reason to do any of that here.
[The only ones who had any idea of what he was talking about were Ruby... and Stanford Pines.]
[It was far easier to just simply mirror Qrow's fury than it is to deal with Oscar's quieter myriad of emotions.]
I really hope that stays the case.
I'd tell you about the vampires at home if I thought it'd make any difference, but I don't think there's much point in trying to explain where I'm coming from, and I don't think either one of us want that conversation right now anyway.
I'm going to go hit the Archives with Tara and Ange and see if we can find a solution to this mess. I'll talk to you later, okay?

I believe the term that best fits Mr. Ford is 'Monsterfucker'.

I'll stay with him, then. Keep an eye on him, anyway. But, if he's not invited in the house, then it feels weird for me to stay.
After everything last month, I don't have it in me to talk through this with you like I have with other adults making decisions I didn't agree with.
[Although he knew that Willow wouldn't punctuate this with a bullet and a long drop, that particular wound in his psyche never healed cleanly.
He was tired of peptalking adults who should know better than to rely on their kneejerk reactions and split their resources at a sign of trouble. ]
